Exactly why is our Biryani so extraordinary? The reason: 24 month aged Basmati rice.

If you think rice is just rice, you’d better think again. There’s a whole host of reasons why Basmati is Queen.

It’s healthy ‘supergrain’ is gluten free and low in fat, contains all eight essential amino acids, folic acid, and is very low in sodium and has no cholesterol. With its low to medium GI you can be sure that our beautiful biryani will help you avoid that afternoon slump.

Now we’ve got the science bit out of the way…

With only one harvest a year Basmati requires extra love and attention to develop its complex and unique flavour. Relying entirely on nature for its distinctive characteristics our Basmati is stored for another 24 moths to allow it to mature. Like a fine wine, it improves with age.

Our Basmati tastes like no other rice on earth and has a wonderful aroma. Its light and fluffy texture, long and slender grains offer a totally different experience to just normal rice. Basmati grains expand to more than twice its dry length during cooking. The open texture of Basmati allows the grain to absorb other flavours, making it a sociable partner to the ingredients in our biryani.
